CDC: Coronavirus Exposure May Not Require Testing

The CDC is revising its guidelines for those potentially exposed to COVID-19.

The agency now says that people who come in contact with an infected person “do not necessarily need a test” if they don’t have any symptoms.

While asymptomatic or presymptomatic transmission is still possible, the CDC says testing is recommended only for “vulnerable” individuals or if your doctor or local health officials recommend it.

How careful are you about avoiding contact with people during the pandemic? Do you think we’re getting a better handle on stopping the spread of the virus?
