Facial hair may be in these days, but like most things, what looks good isn’t necessarily good for you.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says shaving off your facial hair will lessen your chances of contracting the coronavirus. The problem isn’t within the hair itself; it’s that the hair prevents respirator masks from forming a tight seal, which allows the virus to creep in.

Therefore, short sideburns, soul patches and mustaches are OK, but beards, mutton chops and even long stubble are a no-no, according to the CDC.
