Arcade Fire was a last-minute addition to Friday’s Coachella lineup.

The band played a couple of new songs from their upcoming album “WE” as well as favorites such as “Everything Now,” “Wake Up,” “The Suburbs,” and “The Neighborhood #3 (Power Out).”

Singer Win Butler also talked about Black Flag, Pearl Jam, and Coachella co-founder Paul Tollet.

Butler mentioned that Tollet “…used to book Black Flag… There’s a band called Pearl Jam, and they’re like, ‘Black Flag is the f—ing raddest band ever, so that guy can book our shows.’”

Continuing with the story, Butler said, “At one point, they were like, ‘F–k Ticketmaster. We’re not playing any venues with Ticketmaster.’ The only place they could play in LA in this s–t… So that’s where the f–k Coachella came from. So thank you to Pearl Jam, and thank you to Paul Tollett.”

Arcade Fire’s “WE” is out on May 6.
