Courtney Barnett Releases MTV Unplugged Album

Want to hear Courtney Barnett rocking out acoustically to some of her biggest hits? Check out her brand new album, MTV Australia Unplugged Live in Melbourne.

Now streaming, the Aussie rocker’s 8-song set was recorded back in October in her hometown and features a mix of old and new songs, plus covers, and includes the previously unreleased, “Play It On Repeat”.

The choice of tunes was intentional, said Barnett in a press release, noting, “It’s been interesting to see the songs through a different filter, and it brings out this other emotional side to the music and the lyrics.”

Physical copies will hit stores in February after Barnett wraps her first-ever US solo tour in the new year.
