Crypto Scams Stole $300 Million In 2023

More than $300 million in digital assets were stolen by crypto scammers in 2023, according to a report from the security platform Scam Sniffer.
Most of that theft came from so-called ‘wallet drainer’ scams, that gain access to crypto accounts through fake ‘airdrops’, ads, or social media posts.
More than 324,000 people were victimized by these scams over the past year.
