Dave Grohl Supports Phoebe Bridgers’ Guitar-Smashing

While musician Phoebe Bridgers has received criticism for her guitar-smashing on Saturday Night Live, she does have some pretty famous support.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has come to Bridgers’ defense for the incident, even comparing it to what Nirvana used to do.

“My drums had holes in them from Kurt f***ing chopping my drums,” Grohl said while talking with Howard Stern. “I’ve seen enough smashed guitars, it feels f***ing good to do it.”

Bridgers has said that her guitar’s manufacturer were made aware of the smashing ahead of time and wished her luck.
