Ghost fans may have to wait a while for the band’s next album. Frontman Tobias Forge says it might not see the light of day until 2021.

In a recent interview with Overdrive, Forge said the band will head into the studio in early 2020 and spend “five or six months” recording.

However, Forge says he doesn’t want to release the album next fall because people’s minds will be “focused on other things” – namely the 2020 presidential election. So the album could be delayed until early 2021.

Is two years too long to wait for a new Ghost album? Do you think the election will really factor into the release schedule?
