General Motors is ditching Apple CarPlay and Android Auto over safety concerns.

The automaker says the apps are buggy and don’t work properly – which leads to drivers using their phones instead.

Instead, GM is rolling out its own system, ‘Ultifi’, which includes Google Maps and can handle calls, texts, audio, and climate controls.

Ultifi launched in the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV.

Do you use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? Do you think they’re safe?
