Google To Pay $700 Million Settlement Over Play Store

Google will pay out $700 million for using shady tactics with its Google Play app store.

The company was accused of using anticompetitive practices to drive up prices and collect higher commissions.

$700 million sounds like a lot, but most eligible customers will receive “at least $2” based on their spending at the Play Store between August 2016 and September 2023.

Customers will be notified on how to claim their cut of the settlement.
