Holiday World Announces New First-Of-Its-Kind Roller Coaster

Good Gravy! Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari is adding a new attraction, and it will be the first of its kind on the continent!

“Good Gravy!” rollercoaster is set to open May 2024 in the park’s Thanksgiving section, the park announced Tuesday (Aug. 1st).

People will get to ride in a train shaped like a giant gravy boat while dodging giant kitchenware on the track.

What makes it unique is that it will be North America’s first “family boomerang” coaster. A boomerang rollercoaster starts off by pulling the ride-train back before launching it uphill onto the track. Once it reaches the end of the track, it then goes in reverse to repeat the ride backward.
