Jeff Ament on Pearl Jam’s New Album

Despite guitarist Stone Gossard saying Pearl Jam’s new album is almost done, bassist Jeff Ament disagrees.
Ament says in a new interview that the PJ LP “doesn’t feel like a record yet” noting, “The hardest part of [finishing] a record a lot of times is figuring out which songs go on the record and do we need to record another song and what’s the artwork and what’s the title and all that stuff.”
With this in mind, Ament also said that Pearl Jam has “earned the right to do whatever the f*ck we want” when making a new album.
