Ticketmaster is no stranger to controversy and comedian John Oliver is the latest to rip into the ticket company.

On Sunday’s “Last Week Tonight,” Oliver came down hard on Ticketmaster for their added fees.

“We found a ticket to a 2019 Kidz Bop concert with fees that amounted to 75% of face value,” Oliver reported. “For one ticket to a Tyler, the Creator show next week, the fees add an extra 78%, and the fees on a $15 to a monster truck rally in Houston were $16.41. That’s more than the cost of the ticket itself, which is clearly ridiculous…”

Oliver also made note of allegations that a Metallica rep was working with scalpers to make more money off of their 2017 tour.

Do you think Ticketmaster’s fees are ridiculous? Do you have any alternatives to Ticketmaster, or do you think concertgoers are mostly stuck with the company?
