This year, the Kentucky Derby winner, Mage, will be the only horse from the Derby to run in the Preakness Stakes.

This is the first time since 1969 that only one horse from the Derby is racing in the Preakness.

Mage drew post position number three on Monday and is the 8-5 morning line favorite.

If successful, Mage will become the first horse to win both the Derby and the Preakness since Justify did it on his way to a Triple Crown in 2018.

Forte, the Derby morning line favorite, was scratched from the Derby due to a bruise on his front right foot and is unable to run in the Preakness.
