Korn Working On ‘Heaviest’ Album In Years

Korn’s follow-up to 2022’s Requiem will feature the band’s “heaviest” music in years.

That’s the word from guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, who says the band has re-adopted its hard-edged sound.

“We’re spending a lot more time on this new music,” Welch says. “And we really want to dissect our sound and remember where we came from and how we did it back then. And having a vintage Korn feel with a modern twist — sonically, I’m talking about. So it’s very intense. The songs are amazing. I’m very proud of it. I feel like we are closer than we’ve ever been in the studio.”

That’s not to say the members of Korn have actually started laying down tracks for the as-yet-untitled album.

“We haven’t started recording yet,” Welch admits. “But we’re very passionately heading toward that direction. And we can’t wait for everybody to hear it.”

What’s Korn’s “heaviest” album?
