Machine Gun Kelly & Oli Sykes Call Out ‘Gatekeepers’
Machine Gun Kelly has transitioned into becoming a punk rock artist, and many people are not appreciating MGK’s creativity and music.
MGK will be dropping his new punk rock album called Mainstream Sellout on March 25.
Machine Gun Kelly said, “It feels brave because, when I said the name originally after I changed it [from its original title Born With Horns], everyone was kinda like, ‘Oh, are you sure you wanna almost, like, call it like it is?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, absolutely’.”
He continued, “There’s such an epidemic and has been for years, of rock n’ roll gatekeeping, or punk rock gatekeeping or hip hop gatekeeping…and you know what I realized? The gatekeepers always lose.”
Bring Me The Horizon and MGK just dropped a new track called ‘Maybe’ that suggests that Machine Gun Kelly is sticking with punk rock music.
