Major Traffic Changes for Thunder Over Louisville on Saturday

‘Tis the season for Thunder Over Louisville road closures…

The Second Street Bridge will shut down again on Thursday, April 18th, starting at 9:45 a.m., and remain closed until 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21st.

Dozens of roads in downtown Louisville, and on the Indiana side of the river in Clarksville and Jeffersonville, will be closed as well for the big show.

WDRB has listed all the major road closures in both Kentucky and Indiana, emergency routes, no parking zones, and other traffic hinderances HERE.

Plan ahead if you work or own a business in downtown Louisville to ensure timely arrival. Park closer to your home location for easier exit, and follow designated surface streets for traffic flow.

Just remember that we go through this every year, and traffic is inevitable… Take it slow, don’t drink and drive, and turn up ALT 105.1 super loud for your drive home.
