Mumford & Sons plan to keep their career going for a long, long time and it turns out that we have Elton John to thank.

The British folk rockers recently saw The Rocketman perform live on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which has inspired them to keep at it until they can claim their old age benefits.

Speaking before their own concert last week, Ben Lovett declared, “Elton doesn’t need to do it at all — he does it because that’s what he’s here to do on this earth. There’s a sense of duty to it and that’s what is really beautiful.”

The keyboardist admits, “I could totally see us doing it in 40 years because it’s going to be just as interesting. And I say that because we’ve been doing it for over ten years now and it’s got more interesting.”

Which other current artists can you see carrying on for a long time?
