Fans have been clamoring for a My Chemical Romance reunion ever since the band called it quits, so it’s surprising that the band couldn’t imagine the reaction to their comeback.

The New Jersey rockers announced last week that they’d play a one-off show in Los Angeles this December, their first return to the stage since 2012.

Tickets for The Shrine Expo Hall performance sold out in just three minutes this past Friday.

Upon learning about the demand, MCR released a statement saying, “It is truly unbelievable to us the happiness we have experienced over the past two days. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the warm welcome back. We truly did not expect this. See you soon.”

Why do you think demand is so great for MCR?
