Like other live event organizers, the people behind the 2020 Riot Fest have announced its cancellation. However, unlike other organizers, they used the opportunity to reveal the lineup for next year’s show. And it’s a good one.

The 2021 Riot Fest will be headlined by My Chemical Romance, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins and Run the Jewels, the festival’s producers revealed on Tuesday. Other acts on the bill include Taking Back Sunday, Circle Jerks, L7, Sublime with Rome, New Found Glory, Boston Manor, The Sounds and Living Colour.

Although the three-day fest won’t be staged until September 17th, 2021, weekend passes are already available for $149.99 each. Anyone with tickets to this year’s cancelled show, as well as people who buy weekend passes within the next 30 days, will be admitted to September 16th preview event at Chicago’s Douglas Park.

Do you feel comfortable buying tickets for something that won’t happen until September 2021? What’s the best festival show you’ve been to?
