The best investment of the decade? That would be Netflix, whose stock grew a staggering 4,000 percent during the 2010’s.
At the beginning of the decade, Netflix had only 1.2 million subscribers and was still mailing out DVD’s. A $1,000 investment in Netflix that year would have netted you nearly $43,000 today – a 4,181 percent return.
Today Netflix boasts more than 158 million subscribers around the world, but the launch of streaming services like Apple TV and Disney+ means stiff competition ahead in the 2020’s.
How long have you been a Netflix subscriber? Do you remember the DVD-by-mail service? Will Netflix continue to dominate in the next decade?
