The NHL will allow ads on its jerseys starting in the 2022-23 season, according to reports.
A 3″ by 3.5″ patch will be added to the jerseys. Teams will likely be allowed to decide where the patch will be located.
Currently the NBA is the only one of the four major sports that allows ads on jerseys, a practice that’s common in sports like soccer or auto racing.
What do you think of this move? How long before baseball and football follow suit?
