Nirvana Producer Wins World Series Of Poker Tournament

The man who once produced Nirvana’s final album has a nice side career going as a poker pro.

Steve Albini – who has produced classics like Nirvana’s In Utero and the Pixies’ Surfer Rosa – won over $196,000 at a World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas.

It’s Albini’s second career tournament win – he also won a WSOP bracelet in 2018.

But don’t expect Albini – who also plays guitar in the band Shellac – to change careers anytime soon – he insists that poker is “part of my livelihood, but it’s not my profession”.
