I think it’s Radiohead’s way of flipping Spotify the bird; the band, who hates Spotify for “unfair royalty payments”, has uploaded their entire discography to YouTube.

It’s probably no coincidence that Radiohead uploaded everything to YouTube since Billboard has announced that YouTube plays will get factored into an album’s position on the charts.

Radiohead singer Thom Yorke doesn’t want artists to settle for Spotify’s system of paying virtually nothing to artists, saying that rather strong-arming artists as “gatekeepers” to the whole streaming process, “Spotify is the last desperate fart of a dying corpse.”

Which streaming service do you use the most? Do you think that streams should count towards a song or album’s chart position?
