Nine years after they released their last album, the members of Staind are working on new music.

That’s according to the trio’s Aaron Lewis, who says, “I’m working on new Staind sh*t. We’re toying around with some creativity.” He did not mention a projected release date for the upcoming album.

Apparently, it’s a prolific time for Lewis, who says he’s also working on material for a solo effort. However, the project will differ from Staind’s album in that it’s “not gonna be anything except an acoustic guitar and vocals,” Lewis says.

Is Staind’s fan base still intact after nine years without any new music? Do three-piece bands sound like they’re lacking a member?
