Static-X has released a new track featuring late singer Wayne Static.
The song, “Stay Alive,” is the first track shared by the band from their upcoming album “Project Regeneration: Vol. 2”. Wayne is featured on lead vocals for the song.
According to Eddie Ortel, the band’s former sound engineer, “Wayne was working on this track the night that he passed away.”
While the video has a dark subject matter, Static’s sister Aimee Pittman is seeing the positive in its release.
Pittman said in a statement, “If one person watching this video can benefit or make better choices related to drugs and alcohol, then we are grateful for the reminder.”
What do you think of this song? What are you hoping to hear on this new Static-X album?
