Total Lunar Eclipse Coming this Month

A total lunar eclipse is expected to headline May’s astronomical events, experts say.

The eclipse is expected to happen on Wednesday, May 26th, and make the moon appear bright red, according to AccuWeather. It will be visible to the western United States; in other places, it will make the moon appear larger than usual, per the weather forecasting agency.

The month-long calendar of astronomical events will kick off Tuesday with a meteor shower that’s expected to last until Wednesday morning, forecasters say. On May 13th, Mercury will be visible alongside the crescent moon, per Accuweather.
