Wanted: New Guitarist For Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins are searching for a new guitarist to replace the recently departed Jeff Schroeder – and they’re willing to consider anyone who applies for the gig.
In an ad posted on Instagram, the band writes, “The Smashing Pumpkins are in search of an additional guitarist. The application process is open to anyone who might be interested. Please send a resume and any related materials to [email protected].”

Schroeder left the band in October after 16 years, announcing, “Although it was a very difficult decision to make, I’ve decided to leave the band to make some space to explore a slightly different path.” Exactly where he expects that path to lead him is unclear.
